Updated Deck Plan for Disney Magic

Last night we finally got to see the updated deck plan for the Disney Magic.  You can find the plan here thanks to www.disneycruiselineblog.com.

Rumored with the reimagination were new accessible rooms and more connecting rooms.  Based on the map, here is what we have found.

It appears that there will be two new accessible rooms added.  The first will be an inside room, category 10A on deck 7, stateroom 7509.  The next will be a family balcony room, category 4E on deck 8, stateroom 8094.

Next we looked at the new connecting rooms.  All of the one bedroom suites will become connecting rooms on the Disney Magic under the proposed changes.  Several already connect to either other one bedroom suites while others connect to family staterooms.  We are also seeing more connecting balcony staterooms in categories 5A, 5B and 5C.  Here is a chart of the which rooms will connect along with their categories.

Connecting

As we mentioned, these are proposed changes so it is possible that these changes will not happen or will not be completed when the Disney Magic begins sailing.

While I understand the thought and concept of making rooms connectible … I am not so sure making 100% of the 1BR staterooms connectible. If I am not in need of a connectible stateroom, I’d hate to have to take one … merely because one is not offered without the connecting door. Staterooms (or hotel rooms) without the connecting door are quieter, and provide more wall space … each a plus in small quarters.
